About Zack

Little Zack Arnold
"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you've imagined."
- Henry David Thoreau

I was born an editor, and I will always be an editor.

My very first edit suite wasn't Final Cut Pro Studio or an Avid - it was two VCR's hooked up to each other in my bedroom when I was twelve years old. The first time I hit 'play' on deck one and 'record' on deck two, I knew I was made to be an editor. When I felt the creative freedom of putting images together with music to create a certain emotion, it was obvious my calling in life was to edit films. Equipped with a formal film theory education from the University of Michigan, I am well-prepared to enter the trenches with experienced filmmakers and do whatever it takes to make your film the best it can be. But more importantly, I have the passion and desire to take your project even further because I love what I do and can't imagine doing anything else.

I founded Fix It In Post because I saw a need for something that the feature world doesn't provide: A one-stop solution for editing and finishing feature films. When you're producing a lower budget film, especially an independent one, it's impossible to keep your costs down during the post process when you have to rent editorial office space, rent your equipment, and put together a piecemeal crew of editors and assistants that have never worked together before. Rather than struggling with a hundred individual pieces, why not hire one company to take the headache out of feature post and do everything for you?

Fix It In Post is a group of professionals and a network of companies who work together on a daily basis and have a well-developed and efficient workflow. We know each other, we've worked with each other, and that ultimately leads to a creative cohesiveness in your final product. More importantly, it leads to cost savings as there is no wasted time or effort from assembling a group of people working together for the first time.

I live and work in the Hollywood film industry, but you'll never take the farmboy out of me. I was born and raised on a cattle farm in Northern Wisconsin, so I understand the true meaning of hard work and dedication. Meeting a tight deadline and working late nights is no match for spending entire summers building miles of barbed-wire fences in 100 degree heat.

You will not find a group of individuals who will work harder, longer, or be more dedicated to your project. We love what we do, and it shows.
